CHALLENGE:
Need to scale to support growth
The team at Verse were in a time of transition and needed an enhanced analytics platform that could support their growth.
SOLUTION:
An upgraded data stack that can adapt and scale
After evaluating the solutions on the market, they were thrilled to be introduced to Looker – a solution that could help them achieve their key data objectives. The objective of upgrading from Metabase to Looker was to democratize data across the company and to obtain a single version of the truth for business metrics, in addition to giving business users the ability to independently carry out more complex analyses. The BI team at Verse had over 100 queries and reports to refine and replicate on their new BI tool. So to accelerate the migration of Verse’s new data platform, the company relied on the help of Looker’s local partner Spaulding Ridge.
RESULTS:
Data-oriented and actionable analysis
Since implementing Looker, Verse has benefitted from:
- New data-oriented organizational culture where decisions are based on reliable insights.
- New levels of analysis thanks to Looker’s modeling capabilities such as Liquid Parameters which created a more flexible data model and allowed end users to carry out complex queries. As well as advanced features such as drill-down that allowed users to answer the “next question”.
- Actionable data: i.e., setting up automatic alerts between their Looker platform and Braze, their customer engagement platform.
